Strategy CEO Phong Le shared his personal journey after returning from Vietnam, describing how the visit reinforced his views on the United States and Bitcoin. According to Le, his recent trip highlighted Vietnam’s economic progress while also shaping his explanation of why he believes Bitcoin reflects the same principles that influenced his family’s life in America.

Vietnam Visit Shapes Le’s Perspective

According to Phong Le, Vietnam has changed significantly since his family left the country in 1978. He said the nation has become more prosperous, energetic, and ambitious over the decades.

However, Le stated that many people still view the United States as their ultimate destination. He added that American brands, culture, and opportunities continue attracting global attention.

Le also said the ongoing World Cup highlighted America’s global influence. According to him, many people still want to identify with the United States despite changes across the world.

Refugee Story Influenced Bitcoin View

Le explained that his family arrived in the United States as refugees after receiving sponsorship from a Catholic church in Syracuse, New York. He said his family relied on public assistance while his father worked three jobs.

According to Le, education, entrepreneurship, and perseverance allowed his family to improve their lives. He described that experience as his understanding of the American Dream.

Le said those experiences later shaped how he viewed Bitcoin. He explained that Bitcoin’s transparent rules, property rights, resilience, and individual sovereignty matched principles that influenced his own life.

Bitcoin Compared With Constitutional Principles

According to Le, Bitcoin seeks to establish a monetary system governed by transparent rules instead of individual discretion. He also described the network as digital capital secured through code, proof of work, and consensus.

Le further stated that Bitcoin offers monetary protection for people seeking alternatives to inflation or limited economic freedoms. He added that the network provides access regardless of geography or political systems.

According to Le, America provided his family with freedom through national institutions. He concluded that Bitcoin offers individuals monetary freedom through an open global network built on defined rules.
