Reserve Stays Intact Through Early 2025

Watcher.Guru reported that Tesla didn’t conduct any Bitcoin transactions within Q1 2025, leaving its $1,050,300,000 reserve unchanged. Historical Activity and Portfolio Movements

Tesla last moved a large portion of Bitcoin in Q3 2024, when it transferred $760 million worth from its public wallet. This was the first movement of that scale since the Q2 2022 liquidation. Back then, Tesla sold 75% of its holdings, totaling around $936 million.

Following the Q2 2022 sale, Bitcoin prices experienced a sharp rise. The movement in Q3 2024 also coincided with a price increase to $67,000. These historical events show Tesla’s influence on market behavior when conducting large transactions.

Tesla’s crypto transactions are strategically timed and typically generate market attention. The company has made it a practice to disclose asset updates in quarterly reports.
