Strategy disclosed its latest Bitcoin purchase in a June 2 filing, acquiring 705 BTC for $75.1 million. This followed a larger May 26 acquisition of 4,020 BTC for $427.1 million at $106,237 per coin. Despite recent market shifts, the company’s overall Bitcoin portfolio continues to perform positively.
The trading price for bitcoin was, at the time of the most recent announcement, $104,195.98, which was down 1.04% in the last 24 hours. Therefore, the June 2 purchase has an unrealized loss of 2.41%, approximately $1,810,000. The May 26 acquisition has also declined by 2.15%, reflecting a $9.19 million decrease in value.
BTC Yield Climbs Above 16% YTD
Strategy has reached a year-to-date BTC Yield of 16.9% in 2025. This is up slightly from the 16.8% reported on May 26 following the 4,020 BTC acquisition. According to a May 1 announcement, the company revised its BTC Yield target to 25% by year-end, exceeding the original 15% goal.
As of June 2, Strategy holds 580,955 BTC, acquired at an average price of $70,023 per coin. The total investment amounts to $40.68 billion. Current market value places these holdings at approximately $60.43 billion, reflecting an unrealized profit of $19.76 billion and a 48.56% return.
