The Solana Foundation, in collaboration with Google Cloud, introduced Pay.sh, a payment gateway for AI agents to access APIs without accounts or subscriptions. The system enables pay-per-call usage through Solana wallets using stablecoins. The launch targets friction in API access, where agents previously required human-managed credentials and billing setups.

How Pay.sh Connects Agents To APIs

According to the Solana Foundation, Pay.sh allows agents to discover and pay for APIs directly from a unified marketplace. Agents link a Solana wallet to interfaces like Gemini, Claude Code, Codex, Openclaw, and Hermes. They can then fund wallets quickly and begin accessing services without creating accounts.

Notably, the gateway operates as an API proxy built on Google Cloud infrastructure. It sits in front of services like Gemini, BigQuery, Cloud Run, and Vertex AI. When an agent initiates payment using x402, the system verifies the request and enforces controls.

Meanwhile, the wallet acts as the agent’s identity, removing the need for API keys or credential management. Payments settle in seconds using stablecoins on Solana. Providers then receive reconciled payments without manual billing processes.

Access Expands Across Google And Third-Party APIs

Through Pay.sh, agents can access official Google Cloud APIs and over 50 third-party endpoints. These include tools for AI inference, data warehousing, and blockchain infrastructure.
