Robinhood is pushing deeper into crypto by launching tokenized stocks and ETFs on Arbitrum, while riding Solana’s growing ecosystem. The platform minted over 2,300 OpenAI stock tokens and set metadata for 79 more, including Trump Media and Schwab ETFs. These assets are now tradable as on-chain stock tokens, supported by 24/5 trading and dividend distribution. This move positions Robinhood as a major player in real-world asset (RWA) tokenization.

Besides OpenAI and SpaceX, Robinhood plans to expand access to over 200 tokenized U.S. equities across 30 European nations. The rollout marks a major pivot from crypto-only services to a fully-fledged investment suite. Significantly, these stock tokens have zero commissions or spread charges from Robinhood, although some fees may still apply.

Solana-Led Innovation Meets Arbitrum Infrastructure

Robinhood’s growing crypto ambitions align with Solana’s influence in tokenized assets. While the stock tokens are issued on Arbitrum, the underlying infrastructure borrows from Solana’s speed and scalability ethos. Moreover, Robinhood is building its own Layer 2 blockchain—based on Arbitrum—optimized for tokenized RWAs and 24/7 trading.

Consequently, Solana’s philosophy of fast, low-cost access echoes in Robinhood’s model. The company also added crypto staking support for Solana and Ethereum. Hence, Solana plays a strategic role in Robinhood’s staking and asset tokenization plan.

Futures, Staking, and Global Expansion

Additionally, Robinhood will offer crypto perpetual futures in the EU with up to 3x leverage through Bitstamp. This gives traders exposure to new derivatives with an easy-to-use interface. Meanwhile, staking is available to both U.S. and EU customers. Users can now earn rewards from Solana and Ethereum directly within the app.
