  • Ripple’s Swell conference, held just before the Federal Reserve event, highlights the company’s significant role in fintech innovation.

Ripple’s CEO Brad Garlinghouse and cofounder Chris Larsen will participate in the eighth annual fintech conference hosted by the Federal Reserve Bank of Philadelphia. This key event is scheduled for October 22-23 and will focus on the future of finance through discussions on tokenization and the role of fintech in shaping the financial landscape.

Focus on Tokenization and Financial Innovation

The fintech event, expected to gather industry leaders, will cover crucial topics like tokenized deposits and the tokenization of real-world assets. As financial systems shift toward digital solutions, the event will explore how fintech is transforming traditional banking structures. Julapa Jagtiani, a senior economist at the Federal Reserve Bank of Philadelphia, emphasized the importance of these discussions for the future of the fintech industry.

Notable Speakers in Attendance

Ripple’s co-founder Chris Larsen is particularly noteworthy as he rarely appears at public events of this scale. He and Garlinghouse will join a distinguished list of speakers, including Paul Grewal, Chief Legal Officer at Coinbase, and Sheila Warren, CEO of the Crypto Council for Innovation. Additionally, Plaid CEO Zach Perret and Penny Lee, head of the Financial Technology Association, will present their insights at the event.

Ripple’s Upcoming Swell Conference

Before their appearance at the Federal Reserve event, Ripple will host its own annual Swell conference in Miami on October 15-16. This conference, which brings together leaders and experts in blockchain technology, has previously been held in cities such as Toronto, London, and Dubai. Ripple’s participation in these significant industry events highlights its active role in shaping the fintech landscape.

Despite their continued focus on industry development, Ripple may face challenges from the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC). Rumors suggest that an appeal decision regarding Ripple’s legal battles with the SEC is expected on October 6, adding further attention to the company’s upcoming appearances at both conferences.
