  • Ripple and Privy enable developers to integrate XRPL wallets into applications, supporting XRP, RLUSD and other digital asset payments.
  • Ripple reports 13 million agent payments on XRPL, accounting for approximately 25% of network activity.
  • The integration supports programmable AI agent wallets, transaction policies and x402 payments, with gas sponsorship planned for future updates.

Ripple and Privy are partnering to bring embedded wallets to the XRP Ledger (XRPL), allowing developers to integrate digital asset payments into applications. The integration supports XRP, RLUSD, and other assets, while enabling AI agents to hold funds and transact. Ripple said agent payments have reached 13 million, representing roughly 25% of XRPL network activity.

Developers Can Integrate XRPL Wallets Into Apps

Privy, a Stripe company, will provide wallet infrastructure that lets developers create and manage XRPL wallets programmatically. They can also sign transactions and build payment services without requiring users to manage private keys themselves.

The integration targets stablecoin payments, fintech applications, and other products using digital assets. Developers can build with XRP, Ripple’s RLUSD stablecoin, and other assets supported by XRPL.

According to Privy, XRPL has more than 8 million funded accounts and has processed over $1 trillion in value. The decentralized Layer 1 blockchain supports digital asset transfers and exchanges, with fast settlement and low transaction costs.

AI Agents Can Transact Through Programmable Wallets

Beyond conventional payments, the partnership supports agentic commerce, where AI agents can hold funds and execute transactions. Server-side wallets will allow these agents to transact, including through x402 payments.

Privy also enables developers to establish wallet policies that control permitted activities. Users can retain ownership and portability through private key and seed phrase exports.

Markus Infanger, senior vice president of RippleX at Ripple, said the infrastructure could support fintech products, stablecoin services, and agentic commerce. Privy co-founder and CEO Henri Stern said the integration extends the company’s wallet services to developers building on XRPL.

XRPL Reports 13 Million Agent Payments

Ripple said XRPL has processed 13 million agent payments, which account for approximately 25% of network activity. The figures highlight the network’s existing use for transactions involving AI agents.

The XRP Ledger Foundation also announced that XRPL wallets are live in Privy. Developers can now create embedded wallets, sign transactions, and apply built-in policies to control wallet activity.

Ripple and Privy plan to deepen the integration over time. Planned additions include policy controls and gas sponsorship, giving developers further options for managing wallet transactions.
