Leading crypto asset manager Grayscale has revealed an update on its list of potential investment products. The company is considering adding 35 altcoins, including tokens like Dogecoin (DOGE) and Worldcoin (WLD).
In an October 10 blog post, Grayscale detailed how these digital assets have been categorized into five key sectors: currencies, smart contract platforms, financials, culture, and utilities. This new list of assets under consideration signals Grayscale’s continued effort to diversify its offerings amid an expanding crypto market.
Diverse Range of Smart Contract Platforms Evaluated
Grayscale’s updated list places emphasis on smart contract platforms, with 16 tokens from various blockchain networks now under review. Notably, the company is evaluating tokens from alternative layer-1 blockchains such as Aptos (APT) and Sei (SEI), along with Ethereum scaling solutions like Mantle (MNT).
Other tokens include Arbitrum (ARB), Cosmos (ATOM), and Polygon (MATIC). These assets have gained recognition due to their scalability and innovation in decentralized applications. Grayscale’s inclusion of these tokens highlights its focus on networks that support the growing demand for decentralized finance (DeFi) and blockchain infrastructure.
Focus on Solana-Based Projects and Consumer Tokens
In addition to smart contract platforms, Grayscale is also exploring Solana-based projects, a sign of Solana’s increasing relevance in the crypto ecosystem. The review includes tokens from the decentralized exchange Jupiter (JUP), the oracle network Pyth (PYTH), and Helium (HNT), a decentralized infrastructure network.
Under the “consumer and culture” category, Grayscale is evaluating popular tokens like Dogecoin and Immutable (IMX). The inclusion of these tokens shows the company’s interest in both meme-based coins and gaming networks, which continue to capture investor attention.
Grayscale Expands Product Lineup with New Trusts
Grayscale currently offers 30 different investment products, including 25 single and diversified investment trusts. Its recent expansion efforts reflect a broader strategy to meet investor demand for diverse crypto assets.
In 2024 alone, Grayscale launched new funds for Aave, XRP, and Avalanche, broadening its appeal. With its recent focus on Dogecoin, Worldcoin, and other emerging projects, Grayscale continues to position itself as a key player in crypto asset management. The inclusion of these new assets could further boost its product portfolio.
