- Ethereum holds near $2,543 as ETF inflows rise, signaling steady institutional accumulation.
- ETH remains below $2,600 resistance; a breakout above $2,667 may trigger a run toward $3,000.
- Staking liquidity improves post-Shanghai upgrade, supporting long-term bullish momentum.
Ethereum is still consolidating after a bullish performance in May, with its price hovering near short-term resistance levels. Traders are now monitoring several key metrics, including ETF inflows and on-chain data, that may lead to a breakout. Ethereum is trading at $2,543.93 at press time and continues to move within a narrow range.
Consolidation Pattern Holds While Momentum Remains Neutral
According to analysis prepared by Cryptos Batman via X, Ethereum is closely mirroring its 2020–2021 price cycle. He suggests that while the asset remains in a consolidation phase, a “massive breakout” is expected in the coming weeks.
Technical charts also show ETH struggling below its 200-day moving average near $2,600, facing repeated rejections. Short-term momentum indicators are mixed. On the 4-hour chart, Ethereum remains within a rising wedge pattern, often seen as a bearish signal.
However, the MACD is still holding near the signal line, while the RSI sits at 47.58, suggesting indecision. Price continues to trade between $2,481 and $2,534, with support near $2,490. If bulls push above $2,667, analysts expect price action to accelerate toward $3,000.
ETF Inflows and Staking Activity Support Long-Term Bullish Case
According to a statement from Glassnode via X, Ethereum spot ETFs saw their fourth consecutive week of net inflows. An additional 97.8K ETH was added last week, bringing total holdings to 3.77 million ETH.
Though still below the February peak of 3.81 million, this trend signals steady accumulation by institutional investors. At the same time, Ethereum’s network fundamentals are improving. The Shanghai upgrade in June 2025 unlocked over 17 million staked ETH.
This has allowed more liquidity in the ecosystem while keeping total locked value stable. With increased capital flexibility, more participants are now willing to stake and hold ETH, which supports a gradual upward price shift.
