Chainlink’s Technology Powers Aptos Network for Reliable On-Chain Data

Chainlink CFN
  • Aptos Network now supports Chainlink Data Feeds allowing developers on the Aptos platform to receive accurate and auditable data for their decentralized applications.
  • Aptos incorporates decentralized infrastructure in Chainlink to protect the scalability, and transparencies of the data without suffering common failures related to centralization.
  • This integration is a continuation of earlier harmony to promote decentralized application development and enhance Aptos blockchain’s scalability.

Aptos Network will integrate with Chainlink Data Feeds to advance the development of the dApp development platform. The partnership is to offer developers creating applications on the Aptos blockchain platform safe and reliable data which cannot be altered.

It is another benchmark in the Aptos journey to definitely position itself as a Layer 1 blockchain. The network gains seamless access to Chainlink’s reliable nodes, external computation services, and verifiable off-chain data through this collaboration.

Key Features of Chainlink’s Data Feeds

The Aptos team highlighted several features of Chainlink’s Data Feeds, which will directly benefit developers. These feeds utilize Sybil-resistant Oracle nodes operated by leading data providers and DevOps teams to ensure consistent, reliable data delivery.

Chainlink’s decentralized infrastructure is another critical feature introduced to the Aptos ecosystem. The decentralized nature of these feeds eliminates risks associated with centralized data management, offering a more secure environment for developers and users alike.

Aptos developers will now have access to Chainlink’s high-quality oracles, which simplify data integration by managing API keys and account logins. This feature allows developers to incorporate verified data from multiple sources into their applications seamlessly.

Moreover, the integration enhances transparency within the Aptos network. Developers can monitor real-time data feeds and verify contract triggers using analytic tools like market links.

Strengthening Blockchain Collaboration

This is not the first time that Aptos partnered with Chainlink to work together. In May 2024, Chainlink was integrated into the Aptos network under the SCALE program to improve cross-network connectivity of the Aptos network.

Thodoris Karakostas, Head of Blockchain Partnerships at Chainlink Labs, emphasized the reliability this integration brings to applications built on Aptos. He noted that Chainlink Data Feeds would enhance the network’s ecosystem, encouraging developers to leverage the technology for innovative projects.

Bashar Lazaar, Head of Grants and Ecosystem at the Aptos Foundation, stated that the integration aligns with the network’s vision of creating a scalable, secure Web3 environment. He expressed confidence in the potential of Chainlink’s technology to elevate the Aptos ecosystem.

Aptos’ Expansion and Future Development

The announcement comes as Aptos has continued to grow at a fast pace, having raised $120 million in a funding round in May this year. An early November Messari report pointed out that the network’s Total Value Locked (TVL) hit $1 billion in 2024, up from $53 million in 2020, a YoY growth of nineteenfold. The market capitalization for both USDT and USDC also spiked as stablecoin activity on the network increased by 1300% and 380%.

Therefore, with the inclusion of Chainlink Data Feeds, Aptos seeks to extend its ecosystem even further so that it is possible to enable developers to create more secure, scalable and innovative dApps.
