- Shiba Inu expands with the TREAT token launch, adoption of Chainlink CCIP, and upgraded Swap and Bridge platform on Shib
Shiba Inu developer Kaal Dhairya has dispelled the misinformation that has been roiling the Shiba Inu ecosystem tokens. To dispel the rumors, Dhairya took to Twitter and confirmed that SHIB, LEASH, BONE, or TREAT are not listed on the Solana blockchain. The developer also noted that as much as the team would like to announce their multichain plans, they will only make such statements using the official Shiba Inu website or other reliable platforms.
Community Urged to Stay Vigilant Against Scams
Dhairya’s statement is an important message to the Shiba Inu community as more multi-chain token scams are on the rise. However, such initiatives are becoming more and more popular, this decision only underlines the necessity to rely only on the information published by official sources to prevent being misled.
Shiba Inu uses the Ethereum network, and its ecosystem includes SHIB, a native token; LEASH; BONE, which will serve as a means of transaction for Shibarium; and the newly launched token, TREAT.
Plans for Multichain Expansion Remain in Progress
In a recent blog post, Dhairya highlighted the broader vision of integrating Shibarium with multiple blockchains. This initiative aims to make Shibarium a central hub for governance and settlements across networks. However, any official steps toward such deployment will be publicly disclosed to maintain transparency and user security.
The Shiba Inu ecosystem continues to evolve, marked by significant developments. The TREAT token, introduced in January 2025, debuted on Ethereum with plans to bridge to Shibarium and other layer-2 networks. In December, Shiba Inu adopted Chainlink’s Cross-Chain Interoperability Protocol (CCIP), setting a foundation for increased blockchain interoperability.
Additionally, the ecosystem recently launched an upgraded Swap and Bridge platform on Shib.io, underscoring its commitment to enhanced usability and cross-chain functionality.
As the Shiba Inu ecosystem expands, Dhairya’s timely clarification underscores the commitment to security and transparency. This proactive approach ensures users remain informed and protected against scams in the dynamic crypto space.
