  • Telegram to unveil a mini-app store, integrating a variety of applications directly within the platform.
  • An in-app Web3 browser will allow seamless access to decentralized applications and enhanced privacy features.
  • Telegram aims to improve user experience security and privacy while expanding its ecosystem with these new features.

Telegram, the famous messaging platform known for its strong privacy and security has officially launched a mini app store showing its great growth and updates at a time when there is great competition in the communication world.

The introduction of the mini app store and Web3 browser within the app shows a great evolution with the brand expecting a huge gain of followers and users in the next 72 hours.

Telegram is used by nearly one billion people worldwide. The platform, together with its TON blockchain, has become a hub for famous games like Hamster Kombat, Tapswap, and Notcoin.

The games, which pay people for tapping their smartphone screens, enjoy a huge following. Hamster Kombat alone claims to have over 250 million players.

Durov, Telegram CEO revealed the plans in his personal Telegram channel on Friday where he stated that Telegram uses web applications that run inside the social network known as “mini-apps”. These apps allow crypto projects to launch directly within Telegram. People can use the apps without installing them on their devices.

Durov previously highlighted that businesses have utilized mini-apps to sell physical products on Telegram for many years. According to the platform, almost half a billion people interact with the apps every month.

He added that the company will also step up its efforts to fight the scammers who seek to defraud the new entrants into the crypto realm. Soon, Telegram is expected to begin displaying the month of registration and principal country for public accounts similar to that of Instagram.

The updates are expected to allow organizations to use their mini apps to issue labels for channels, creating a decentralized marketplace for third-party verification.

The mini-app store will be used as a central hub where users can access a variety of applications without leaving the Telegram app for other apps that they may need to interact with while using Telegram.

The feature is aimed to improve users’ experience without the need to shift from one application to another. From productivity tools to entertainment and social media applications, the mini-app store promises to offer a wide array of options.
