  • Broader speculation suggests Binance might extend support to other dog-themed tokens, exciting the wider crypto community.

Binance’s mysterious message on X has fueled speculation within the Shiba Inu community regarding potential support for Shibarium’s Layer-2 scaling solution. Enthusiasts believe Binance’s hints could lead to incentives for SHIB ecosystem tokens BONE and LEASH.

Speculation About Shibarium Support

The Shiba Inu community is abuzz with speculation following a cryptic tweet from Binance. The tweet, featuring a dog and two oranges on traveling luggage, captioned “pawsitively prepped for the next chapter!”, has led SHIB enthusiasts to believe that Binance might support Shibarium, Shiba Inu’s Layer-2 scaling solution.

Such support could enable users to deposit and withdraw assets via the L2 blockchain. Popular community member ‘Sand’ speculated on X that Binance might also offer incentives related to the Shiba Inu ecosystem tokens BONE and LEASH.

Additionally, Japanese Shiba Inu community figure Kuro expressed confidence in decoding Binance’s message. In a post on X, Kuro redesigned the image to include logos of Shibarium, BONE, and LEASH, suggesting that Binance’s support might extend to these tokens.

Besides Shiba Inu, other dog-themed token supporters have speculated that Binance might also support their preferred tokens, including Pawswap (PAW). This has expanded the excitement and speculation within the broader crypto community.

The Shiba Inu community has been urging Binance to support SHIB burns to increase the burn rate and reduce the number of tokens in circulation. Recently, community figure Lola specifically asked Binance CEO Richard Teng to extend the exchange’s ongoing LUNC burn support to SHIB. Lola suggested burning SHIB using a portion of the token’s spot and margin trading fees.

Moreover, Lucie, the marketing lead for the Shiba Inu team, recently discussed the possibility of a Shiba Inu ETF. She highlighted its benefits for traditional investors, such as accessibility and regulated compliance, while also raising concerns about centralization, market manipulation risks, and conflicts with DeFi principles.
