- RENDER led Q3 2026 AI coin revenue with $23.3 million, although $21.4 million arrived during September, raising questions about sustained growth.
- Chainlink ranked second with $14.6 million, followed by Aethir at $9.3 million, while NEAR revenue nearly tripled from Q2.
- Bittensor revenue fell 17%, while Virtuals Protocol and Internet Computer declined over one-third, according to the reported quarterly comparison.
AI coin revenue rankings show RENDER leading the third quarter with $23.3 million, while several competitors posted mixed results and contrasting revenue trends.
RENDER Leads as September Drives Quarterly Revenue
Whale Factor’s Q3 2026 ranking places RENDER first among nine listed AI-related crypto projects. The project recorded $23.3 million in revenue, ahead of Chainlink’s $14.6 million. Aethir followed with $9.3 million, establishing a clear separation among the three leading projects.

However, RENDER’s quarterly total contains an important detail about its timing. Whale Factor reported that $21.4 million arrived during September alone. That amount represents approximately 92% of the project’s reported third-quarter revenue.
The concentration makes September central to understanding RENDER’s latest performance. The figures do not establish whether the month reflected sustained demand or temporary activity. Revenue reported during Q4 will provide another comparison point.
Consequently, the next quarter will help assess whether RENDER can maintain its recent performance. A lower total would indicate that September’s contribution was difficult to repeat. Continued strong revenue would provide further evidence of sustained activity.
Chainlink, Aethir and NEAR Show Different Results
Chainlink secured second place with $14.6 million in Q3 revenue. Its reported total was $8.7 million below RENDER’s quarterly figure. Aethir followed with $9.3 million, placing it third in the ranking.
NEAR generated $4.5 million, less than half of Aethir’s reported revenue. However, Whale Factor stated that NEAR nearly tripled its Q2 revenue. Its fourth-place ranking therefore accompanies a sharp quarterly improvement.
Bittensor, represented by TAO, recorded $3 million during the same period. Unlike NEAR, its revenue declined 17% from the previous quarter. The figures show different directions despite both projects remaining among the ranking’s upper entries.
These results distinguish revenue size from recent growth. NEAR’s increase came from a smaller reported base, while Bittensor experienced a decline. Additional quarterly data will indicate if either of these trends will persist.
Smaller Projects Record Declines and Lower Revenue
Virtuals Protocol reported $636,000 in Q3 revenue, according to the ranking. Internet Computer followed with $325,000, while Akash Network recorded $33,000. These three projects occupied the bottom positions in the reported comparison.
Whale Factor stated that Virtuals Protocol and Internet Computer each declined over one-third from Q2. Their reported results therefore indicate weaker quarterly revenue performance. The supplied figures do not identify the reasons behind either decline.
Akash Network ranked ninth with $33,000 in reported revenue. That amount sits far below RENDER’s $23.3 million quarterly total. However, the ranking measures reported revenue rather than every aspect of network activity.
The comparison also places Virtuals Protocol and Internet Computer well below NEAR. Their revenue declines contrast with NEAR’s near-tripling from the previous quarter. These different results provide context for comparing the projects’ latest reported performance.
Q4 reporting will offer another opportunity to assess the changes. RENDER’s September concentration, NEAR’s growth, and Bittensor’s decline warrant particular attention. Future figures will show whether these quarterly patterns persist across the listed projects.
