SEI Price Faces $0.060 Test as Analyst Sees a Dip

SEI trades near $0.061 as analyst sees a potential buying opportunity, with $0.060 support and regulated perpetual futures.

Sei Network Hits Record Month With Major Listings
  • Analyst views SEI’s correction as a potential entry opportunity, with the token trading near $0.061.
  • SEI trades below its 50-day and 200-day moving averages, with support at $0.060, $0.055, and $0.049.
  • SEI perpetual futures gain a CFTC-regulated exchange listing, offering dollar-settled contracts with 24/7 trading and no expiration.

Sei (SEI) has retreated to around $0.061 after reversing its early October rally, while analyst Michael van de Poppe says the correction could offer an entry opportunity. The token now trades below its 50-day and 200-day moving averages, with $0.060 serving as immediate support and lower levels at $0.055 and $0.049.

Van de Poppe Points to SEI’s Correction

Michael van de Poppe said SEI still looks good despite its strong upward move and subsequent correction. He advised investors to consider buying during a dip, suggesting the current decline could provide an opportunity to build exposure over the coming months.

However, SEI’s price action shows the extent of the recent pullback. The token traded around 0.058–0.060 in April before climbing toward $0.077 in early May. Another rally reached approximately $0.071 in late May, but a sharp correction in early June pushed SEI below $0.050.

The decline continued through July and August, reaching a low near $0.039 in mid-August. SEI then recovered above $0.060 in late September and approached $0.081 around October 1. Since then, the price has fallen from approximately $0.075 to $0.061.

SEI Trades Below Both Moving Averages

The 50-day moving average is near $0.064, while the 200-day average sits around $0.065. SEI currently trades below both, and the 50-day average has crossed below the 200-day average.

Immediate support sits around $0.060. A break below that level could expose $0.055, followed by $0.049. On the upside, SEI needs to reclaim the 0.064–0.065 range before testing resistance near $0.070 and $0.075.

Trading volume rose sharply during the late-September and early-October rally. Recent activity has since weakened, with less trading volume accompanying the latest price movement.

SEI Perpetual Futures Gain Regulated Exchange Listing

SEI perpetual futures have also been certified by a CFTC-regulated exchange. The listing places SEI alongside BTC, ETH, SOL, and XRP among assets with perpetual futures available through CFTC-regulated exchanges.

The contracts settle in U.S. dollars, trade 24 hours a day, seven days a week, and have no expiration date.
