Revolut and Ledger Partner to Simplify Crypto Buying for Verified Users

Cryptocurrency Market Witnesses Notable Price Corrections
  • Revolut partners with Ledger to make seamless crypto purchases without extra verification.
  • Streamlined KYC process for verified Revolut users boosts access to digital assets on Ledger Live.
  • Revolut expands crypto offerings with Ledger collaboration, following MetaMask and Revolut X launches.

Revolut has joined efforts with Ledger to simplify the cryptocurrency purchasing process for its verified users. The collaboration allows Revolut customers who have completed their identity verification to buy cryptocurrencies directly on Ledger Live without undergoing additional checks.

Through this partnership, Revolut users can now access Ledger Live to buy cryptocurrencies seamlessly. Users who have already completed identity verification on Revolut can skip additional verification steps on Ledger Live.

This streamlined process reduces friction, enabling verified Revolut customers to quickly and easily purchase digital assets without repeating Know Your Customer (KYC) checks. This integration aims to enhance the user experience by making it more straightforward to transition from traditional banking services to the digital asset ecosystem.

The partnership also addresses the needs of non-Revolut users who wish to purchase cryptocurrencies through Ledger Live. These individuals can complete their identity verification directly within Ledger Live via an integrated KYC process. Once verified, they can use their Visa or Mastercard to buy digital assets.

Emil Urmanshin, Crypto General Manager at Revolut, emphasized the significance of the collaboration, noting its importance in securely and efficiently onboarding users to the Web3 space and self-custody. Both companies highlighted that the partnership is designed to expand access to cryptocurrencies, providing users with a straightforward introduction to digital assets and the broader Web3 environment.

This collaboration with Ledger continues Revolut’s efforts to expand its crypto-related offerings. Earlier in the year, Revolut introduced Revolut Ramp, a service developed in partnership with MetaMask, targeting UK and European users. Revolut Ramp allows users to purchase over 20 cryptocurrencies, such as Ethereum and USD Coin, using their Revolut account balances or linked debit/credit cards through the MetaMask interface.

In May, Revolut introduced Revolut X, a trading platform for UK retail investors. This shows Revolut’s ongoing effort to improve its financial services, especially for those interested in digital assets.
